Eyepatch
Everybody loves pirates, so everyone needs a knit eyepatch! This is a pretty simple design.
Arrrrrr!
You'll need:
- black worsted weight yarn (use something soft and not itchy)
- size 6 straight needles (or size to obtain gauge)
- large-eyed blunt needle
Size: about 3"x2", 15 1/2" band
Gauge: 5 sts/in garter st
The entire patch is knit in garter.
Cast on 8 stitches.
Knit 1 row.
Inc 1 at the beginning and end of row.
Knit 1 row.
[Inc 1 at the beginning and end of row.
Knit 3 rows.]
Repeat section in brackets twice, then bind off.
Measure around your head where the eyepatch will fit, and subtract 4 inches. Cast on 3 sts and knit to that length (15 1/2" for me).
Sew the band to the top edges of the patch, weave in the ends, and then go swashbuckling!
