| Cozy as a Bug in a
Rug... |
 |
|
Roughly 7 miles of Lion Brand Yarn was
used to knit a cozy/sweater for a Volkswagen Beetle.

The team of knitters from the Houston Center For
Contemporary Art was lead by Frances Trotter the
resident fiber artist at the center. The knitting project
started in early April of 2005 and is scheduled to be
completed in time for the annual "Art Car Weekend" and
"Art Car Parade", which runs from May 13-15, 2005 in
Houston Texas.
The parade is Saturday, May 14, 2005 |

So many of you have written, asking for
special patterns to make for the Red Hat Society meeting "The
Big Deal 2005" that's happening in Las Vegas, Nevada June
24 - 29, 2005 that
we've developed several patterns in special colorways for our
readers with serious 'hattitude.'
Helpful hint: to get an intense purple
in Fun Fur, work with one strand of 109 sapphire and one
strand of 191 purple. |
