Did You Make Martha's Poncho?

Many of our readers did (nearly a million copies of our pattern have been downloaded!)

And now, if you've got the poncho (or can make one), Martha Stewart would like to invite you to wear your poncho and attend the live taping of her new show on September 13th!   Read the invitation below from her Audience Coordinator.  This is being offered exclusively to readers of the Lion Brand newsletter.  If you are interested in attending, click and fill out the form for a chance to get free tickets.

Note:  You and any of your guests must be wearing the "Coming Home" poncho to be able appear on this special show, so if you haven't made one yet, get out your needles or hooks!

By Kids For Kids:  Featured this week

Our newest newsletter 'By Kids For Kids' (BK4K) starts publication this week.    Projects this week include toys and an afghan for your pet.

Learn to Knit and Crochet with Pocket Pets is a new feature that offers progressive learn-to-knit and learn-to-crochet projects.  The first pattern requires only the ability to knit garter stitch (knit pet) or to do single crochet (crochet pet).  Every two weeks, we'll be publishing  patterns for a new pet that requires one additional  knitting or crochet skill. To subscribe to BK4K, click here.

Pocket pets knitting and crochet lessons

This week's Pocket Pets project require beginning knit or crochet skills. Try the duckling (knit or crochet), bunny (knit or crochet)  or mouse (knit or crochet)

Thank you for the knitted pattern for the "Coming Home" poncho. It is lovely and easy to knit. Here is the one I made - in Homespun "Barrington". I was so pleased that I immediately knitted another for my friend in a different shade!
