LION BRAND INTRODUCES WOOL-EASE® CHUNKY
Spring is a time when many families have the joy of new arrivals, and Lion Brand is no exception. Expanding the popular Wool-Ease family, we are pleased to announce Wool-Ease Chunky: a chunky weight version of the same easy-care, wool-acrylic blend yarn you love.

Wool-Ease Chunky’s versatile chunky weight-a little heavier than original (worsted weight) Wool-Ease, but not as heavy as (super chunky weight) Wool-Ease Thick & Quick-makes it perfect for so many projects. It works up quickly and easily, yet is not really bulky. The gauge for Wool-Ease Chunky is: Knit: 14 St sts + 18 rows = 4" (10 cm) on Size 10½ (6.50 mm) Needles; Crochet: 10 sc + 11 rows = 4" (10 cm) on Size K-10½ (6.50 mm) Hook. (Other Lion Brand yarns in the chunky weight are Jiffy and Homespun).

Wool-Ease Chunky comes in sixteen wonderful colors, including many heathers and a white with a shimmering, opalescent wrap. Each ball of yarn is 5 oz/140 g and contains 153 yards.

The Southwest Afghan

NEW PATTERNS!

« The free patterns this month are both afghans.
« Crochet:  Like irises poking through a field of snow, celebrate spring with the Jiffy Diamonds and Lace Afghan, shown in solid color White and multi-color Denver
« Knit: The classic look of chevrons in beautiful heather tones gives the Wool-Ease Southwestern Afghan an ageless appeal.

Both patterns are recommended for the experienced needleworker.
